چکیده
Abstract Background Most plant viruses rely on vectors for their transmission and spread. One of the outstanding biological questions concerning vector-pathogen-symbiont multi-trophic interactions is potential involvement vector symbionts in virus process. Here, we used a multi-factorial system containing non-persistent virus, cucumber mosaic (CMV), its primary vector, green peach aphid, Myzus persicae , obligate endosymbiont, Buchnera aphidicola to explore this uncharted territory. Results Based our preliminary research, hypothesized that aphid endosymbiont B. can facilitate CMV by modulating volatile profiles. Gene expression analyses demonstrated infection reduced abundance M. which lower was associated with preference shift aphids from infected healthy plants. Volatile profile confirmed feeding titers production attractants, while increased emission deterrents. As result, changed Conclusions We conclude reduces . When viruliferous feed host plants, dynamic changes lead volatiles attraction avoidance, thereby switching insect vector’s

Dynamic Model of Virus Transmission in Plants
In the study of viral diseases in plants, the immune response of the plant plays a basic role. In this paper, a mathematical model based on differential equations system with time delay for the immune response of the plant is introduced. As follows, the dynamical behavior of the model in equilibrium points is investigated. At the end, a plant in two different modes, organic and non- organic is ...

15 صفحه اولVolatile chemical cues guide host location and host selection by parasitic plants.
The importance of plant volatiles in mediating interactions between plant species is much debated. Here, we demonstrate that the parasitic plant Cuscuta pentagona (dodder) uses volatile cues for host location. Cuscuta pentagona seedlings exhibit directed growth toward nearby tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum) and toward extracted tomato-plant volatiles presented in the absence of other cue...
